LOL no, not speaking of weed, and the 420 in my name is not relative to me smoking weed...I should have pointed that out in my question as alot of people mistake me for a pot smoker due to my screen name.

since you smoke that much everyday, your body got adjusted having these poisons running ur body. That's why people with more serious drug problems can actually die by quiting abruptly. You hav to take decrease your amount of cigarettes maybe every few weeks or whatever you're comfortable with. The reason why you were coughing and stuff (tryign to not smoke) was because your body was so used to having 2-5 cigarettes a day. So each week you should decrease slowly from 2-4cigarettes, then another few weeks, 2-3, then so on.

I quit smoking a couple of years ago after about 10 years of smoking. I thought before I quit that I would never be able to quit.
This may sound a bit stange, but what allowed me to quit was coming to the realization that with God all things are possible, and that all things included me being able to quit smoking.
I still kind of want a cigarrette when I see and smell someone smoking, but it did get much better with time. In the days after I first quit, I just kept telling myself, I CANNOT smoke, it isn't an option. Just repeat that till the desire diminshed.

Throw them out, and tell any friends that smoke, if they are your friend they will NOT hand you one, no matter how bad of a day you are having. Find other ways to de-stress...exercise till you feel like you want to drop when you are craving one, Chew gum, Clean the smoke smell out of everything you can (nursery stain remover works well, and smells good too), pick up hobbies. Don't try patch or gum...that is just an attempt to wean you off. Good luck!

If you really and truly want to quit, just throw them away and never touch another one again. I smoked 4 packs a day for thirty years and that is exactly what I did 20 years ago.

If you are talking about weed (based on your name), I wouldn't worry about quitting. For cigarettes? Maybe the patch or gum?
