First, try just washing it with any mild detergent. If that doesn't work, try making a paste out of Comet on a cloth and gently scrubbing it off. Don't scrub too hard or it will take the top layer of paint off too. Mr. Clean erasers will probably work.

Depends on what kind of paint it is, but if it is flat paint, I use a little bit of comet or ajax on a damp cloth. The prints come right off. Might work for all paint. Try a tiny spot.

I have 3 kids who love to make grimy hand prints. I use Mr. clean Magic erasers, works like a charm!!!!

A little bit of dish or laundry soap, bakig soda, and a damp (not soaking wet)luke warm wash clothe (not hot/cold). Wipe softly then dry thoroughly so paint won't peel.

mr. clean magic eraser is the only thing that i have found that will remove dirt from flat paint without fading the paint color.

Formula 409 or Glass Plus should do it. They both cut dirty grease from hands.
