I believe it was fake, because its now 40 years later, would't you think with better technical equipment 40 years on they would have had Man there again, and I have heard nothing has anyone?

No, my science teacher always told me that nothing could pass through the Van Allen Radiation Belt... No one listens to me though, so thanks for pointing it out!!

Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.

I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.

12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.

The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?

Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.

Case closed.

It was real, because all of that money and equipment had to do something. If you think it was fake, because nobody has gone there recently, then you should have a reason to send someone there. We just went there the first time to beat the Soviets. We have no need to spend the money on such a large project now. Why do we need to go back now, since we know it is just a pile of rocks?

P.S. The space shuttle has been in use for years and nothing better has been designed. Our space technology still isn't that much better.

Of course it was real. We were competing with the Russians and if they thought we'd lied about it they would have done everything in their power to prove it. And we've there SIX TIMES!
And there is talk of going back by 2010.

List of manned moon landings (as per Wikipedia)

I dare say that the U.S. government wouldn't have allowed the men on Apollo 13 to proceed and overcome all their difficulties in space just to confirm fake moon landings. Your home PC has more computer "power" than any Apollo capsule by a significant factor. So yes, technological advances have been great in the last 40 years. It seems that NASA in more interested in Mars than the moon and that will probably be the next great space exploration destination.

yes. The reason why it look like it was floating is because it got caught on the pole and made that impression.
Now they are saying the tapes are missing. But many other people have it.

I was born on 1969 a couple of months after the landing and everybody tells me it was the only day in history everybody in the world was looking at the moon at the same time. Very few TVs but crowded places and a lot of excitement.

i think it was real. there was such a push at the time to get a man on the moon in order to upstage the soviets. if the US hadn't actually sent spacecraft to the moon, the soviets probably would have been able to detect that and uncover the scam. i think there hasn't been a return to the moon because there is little point. national pride aside, going to the moon doesn't accomplish much and is hugely expensive.

there is little point in going back to the moon, we found out when we were there that its a totally dead place, so why would we go back thats why we are looking toward the other planets, mars, and beyond, the only good the moon might be is as a base from which to launch things to outer planets, but instead they are building a space station floating in space, in concert with other countries, yes we went to the moon, we learned a lot, and you have much these days to credit back to those moon projects.

Well you could ask yourself, why did we go to the moon anyways? that's the key, the U.S. sent men to the moon in order to defy the soviet union's thecnological knowledge and to get prestige. There is no need for that since the us is the only true space superpower.

And, there is proof of all the events relating to the apollo landings, you can check in this wikipedia article:

It was real. Any evidence that it didn't happen can be disproved through science. Read the source.

We haven't gone back for a number of reasons, but it wasn't because of any technology issues. Scientists have been doing incredibly amazing things for many years (just look at your television).

OK get this through your head, YES it was real, but unfortunately then dumbasses that control the space projects, have given up real exploration, for the greed of cooperate interest. When we stoped going to the moon we stoped any hope of really learning the true meaning of our existence.
