Another factor is where in NY? If its the City or Long Island, you can certainly add another premium for that, as well as tolls. 60 hours sounds a little long for that trip... but 6 10 hour days of driving, you can reasonable ask for $12/hour making the driving fee $720 plus have them reimburse you for fuel and tolls... so keep your records while driving and factor the actual cost. I would ask for about $1500 up front, unless you can put the trip on a credit card and pay that off upon payment. Don't forget to charge for return "empty" mileage/fuel and wear and tear on your truck. You can also ask to have room accommodations paid for as well, leaving you on your own for meals. Round trip for your TIME alone, $1500 is reasonable, before you get to the expenses. Hope this helps you calculate things easier!! Drive safe and good luck.

Calculate gas, and charge $12 an hour. That's a fair rate for class C driving time.

Assuming you are driving to NY regardless, figure your actual added gas expense (e.g., 20 vs. 10 mpg) and double that. Then drop the trailer off in my back yard in Minot. I will give you $1000 for it, sight unseen.

Do it for 1.50 a mile plus tolls if there are any. You do not wantt o over charge, but you do not want to screw yourself either. I would also make them pay for the motels.
