Not that I am a sexest,because I am not.However,it seems that more often than not,the women is the one who cheats and don't have enough respect to try to resolve the issues at hand.

I think it is shows like Oprah and magazines like Cosmos that brainwash women into believing that unless they're with a "perfect" man, they are settling for less. They glamourize and place expectations in women's heads about relationships that no man can fullfill.
I'm not a sexiest or bitter or scorned.... I just not blind.

I have to disagree with you there. I think its probably about even as far as who cheats, but the reason so many people divorce these days, is that there are so many other people out there that you may feel more attracted to or compatible with than you do with your current spouse; even though you thought he/she was the one. Not only that, but people are becoming more independent and self controlling due to high demanding work constraints, and more leisure activities. This may be a result from our society moving from post agricultural/ industrial economy, and into a service economy with less need for larger families. Once large families were needed to help support the lively hood of the household, but now in a dynamic environment people need to stay mobile and educated to have a competitive advantage in the marketplace. You have to conform to this or get left in the dark!!

Divorce is common because the value of marriage is not taken as seriously as in earlier generations. Marriage was looked at not really just for love, but for joining families for financial and social status reasons, and they were instilled with the thinking of no divorce. Because women are now more empowered with more rights, and can get divorces easier, they no longer take what they feel is unfair treatment, or lack of care from their partner, and that also applies to the male. If either feels that they are being unfufilled by the relationship, they get a divorce. In the earlier days, it didnt matter if you were getting beat, you just dealt with it. If you werent getting fufilled, you either delt with it, or tried a lot harder to work it out. Hopes this answeres your question. And btw, half of the people that get married nowadays, get a divorce in america!

Because some people will marry, and not be totally in love with the one they married. Also, it may not be all of the female's fault. The man (or female) might have not loved her the way she wanted (or thought) she should be loved, so she finds it somewhere else, trying to fill that void she has. Yet, guys do the exact same thing, but we tend to point out women more. I think why is that we still have the whole "Women must be faithful to their man (or woman), no matter what they do" in our minds. So women tend to get more crap about cheating than men do. My opinion though.

Men and women cheat on their spouses. People don't want to be bothered with putting in the work it takes to have a good marriage. Don't put this all in the womans lap, I've seen a lot of lazy cheating husbands in my life time.

As many reasons as divorces....... 50% of all marriages end in divorce..... About 70% in Oklahoma..... Higer in Las Vegas..... Who do these wome cheat with that you are writting about???? As many men cheat as do women.
