The willful commission of evil is, in fact, evil. There is no such thing as semi-evil, even though many quite reasonable people seem to think so. "Good" people, who consider themselves "good," and who are considered "good" by their community, nonetheless frequently do all manner of evil things. Thus, it is often noted that those who proclaim their goodness loudest are hypocrites. None of us is completely this or that. The only way we can hope to come to terms with that reality is to acknowledge the extent to which we are good or evil and to resolve to at least strive for the good, as pointed out by Wolfram von Eshenbach(sp?) in his medieval treatise regarding the Grail story.
Ultimately, the best that any of us can hope for out of this life is that we be remembered by many as good, and perhaps even fondly by a few.

Well he was never so good at being totally evil anyway. But I hear he's has 3 library books that are 6 weeks overdue and he's a master jaywalker. Plus he never did get Mini-me a pet license.

The last movie he was no longer evil in the end...if he wanted to achieve his evil status again, I'm sure he could. But considering he dealt with his "father complex" and there are no more movies, I'm afraid he is no longer "Evil". Sad...
