I think it started when my Google toolbar was automatically updated. All of a sudden there is no longer a space which displays my current URL, and which I can edit to go to a new website. You know, like if you wanted to go to "www.yahoo.com", say, you'd type it there and then go there. That bit. It's gone. I have tried removing and adding every toolbar possible, with no luck.

You know, like if you wanted to go to "www.yahoo.com", say, you'd type it there and then go there. That bit. It's gone. I have tried removing and adding every toolbar possible, with no luck. This INCLUDES the 'Address' toolbar. Adding the address toolbar merely creates a small box on the toolbar that says 'Address'. And no, I can't click on it or make it do anything or extend it.

Right click on a blank spot on the toolbar and uncheck "Lock the Toolbars". A small "grabber" will appear to the left side of that box that says address. Now click that "grabber" and drag it to the left and your address bar will return. Use the same procedure to adjust all your toolbars to your liking.

This has happend to me as well. look for the address bar on the top somewhere where there is small double arrows. You would need to drag that a little bit above the google bar.

It happens simply because while dragging/installing new toolbars or menus sometimes one of the bars are hidden. It's very much there but u cant see it 'cause its collapsed under something else.

If nothing helps then go to the control panel and uninstall and reinstall IE
or uninstall the google toolbar first, then look for the address bar and then again reinstall the google toolbar.

i dont use IE anymore...but you could click and drag the adress bar back down i think. There should be a spot near it to do that.

Or, you could open up microsoft word, and type in www.google.com and it should come out as a link, go to it, and search up mozilla firefox, and download that. its much better
