A blood test will certainly tell you. If your period is at least one day late, the most sensitive over the counter test I'm aware of is First Response, which claims to be able to test up to 5 days prior to your period. Try that one if you haven't already. Also, if you go to the doctor, their urine tests are more sensitive than the ones we can buy at the store, so you might think about starting there before the blood test. Good luck!

I found out I was pregnant at the end of July, and had just missed my period. I had used a cheap test first and it said no...so I bought EPT Certainty, and got a positive, all in the same day. EPT is the one you can buy that detects the least bit of HCG. But a blood test will answer your question much more accurately!

absolutley 100% some times it can take a long time to have enough hcg in your urine to show a positive result . if your period is over a week late and its still negative see your doctor for the blood test .

Get a First Response pgt. Read the box. It can tell you if you're pregnant before your period is late, but there's only a certain percentage of accuracy the farther it is from the time you're due to start.
