No.. it'll grind if you're moving, because of the syncros in 1st & 2nd... even if you clutch in. so you must come to a complete stop first, then shift to reverse.

only if you floor the gas pedal & don't use the clutch. also ignore the parts that will be on the ground behind you, wait a few second and that munching sound will stop after all the internal parts are destroyed.
