Yes, Luke definitely got the poop end of the stick. I think the Uncle was on Vadars side of the family?
I thought Leia was raised by members of Padme's family or some member of the Senate.
Oh, I don't know. Too much drama in that family anyway.

Luke was entrusted to the care of his "REAL" uncle.
Leia is adopted by Bail Organa and his wife. Her Royal status comes from her presumed connection to that family. (Wikipedia calls Leia's adoptive father: "His Royal Highness, Prince Bail Prestor Organa of Alderaan")
Cheated?, perhaps, but at least Luke had a connection to blood relatives whilst growing up.

Hummm....I think that it would have felt weirder to have had the hots for Leia to find out that she was his sister. Either way.... Poor Luke!!!!
