Start it up yourself, you don't need American Idol, it's just a television show to exploit new singing recruits chosen by talent who think they will make entertainment. If you have what they want, you're best chance is not to go on. But if are interested in exploiting yourself, then there's this Chinese roadshow that goes on around in Las Vegas, don't know the whereabouts though.

But I agree with the others, it's probably better to wait another year for American Idol. You'll probably get more exposure.

Why....? Only ONE person from that godforsaken show has ever made it big. The only other dude I can think of who has won that show couldn't even muster up a one-hit wonder and everybody was wondering if he was gay or not (not that I have a problem with gays, I just hate people who aren't true to themselves). If you really want to sing, form into a band.

Try the major network channels websites (Abc, Fox, etc.) Sometimes if you look at everything close they have little links to upcoming shows they are going to produce and they have different requirements for them. GOOD LUCK!!

well, you can wait until next year and get turned down on american idol. i think you should do that so I can see it on tv. :)
