buy a manicure set that includes a cuticle stick, cuticle oil, hand moisturizer, nail clippers, nail file, buffer,etc. start by putting oil on the cuticles for a minute or two. let it soak in, then gently wipe off and push down the cuticles with the cuticle stick. trim nails nicelybuff your nails to make them nice and smooth and shiny with a 4 sided nail buffer (instructions come with which side to use first, you will be so shocked to see how shiny your nails get!). after you're done that, file your nails to however you want them.
then, usually i use a nailpolish primer to fill in ridges. it dries fast. then put your nail polish on, and when that completly dries, use a clear coat. i do this all the time and everyone always says my nails look great.
