Well, if this is a "just because" gift it doesn't need to be extravagent or anything so think of something simple. The first thing that popped into my head when I read this was a cd. Everyone loves music. Or get them things they could use or want. If they have a fish tank, get them a fish. If they like candles, get them a candle. If they like to read, get them a good book. Just think of the obvious. And if that fails, then just go to Wal*Mart and walk around for a little while, you'll find something. I hope this helped:)

You can never go wrong with a cd of their favorite music, but only if they are JUST a good friend. If it is for someone you like but you don't want to be too straightforward about it, get them something that you've recently heard them talking about. Or something for their hobby, or their passion, or their line of work, favorite sport. Something that when you give it to them you know they'll like it. If it is something having to do with they're favorite band, place, music, tv show, book, person, anything that is they're favorite, they are sure to love it, and the cool thing is that these kinds of gifts are almost always relatively inexpensive.
