That is what is called the rhythm method of birth control.

Do you know what you call people who use the rhythm method? Parents.

A person who has a regular menstral cylce will normally ovulate 14 days past the FIRST day of the last period. She will then ovulate for 6 days. So to be safe a girl can have sex during and about 5 days after....wait 8 days to be safe and then she should be good until the next period. This is only for the people who are by the book "regular". I used this when I wanted to get prego...it worked.

The usual time of ovulation and the most fertile time of a woman is between 10 and 14 days after the first day of her last menstrual period. HOWEVER, ovulation and pregnancy can occur at any time of the month. If you are concerned about pregnancy, USE A CONDOM!!!!! You will also protect yourself against nasty infections and STDs that way. Be smart! No "glove", no "love".

Women can get pregnant at any time depending on her cycle. Wrap it up honey!!!

Ovulation (when the egg is released) generally occurs 14 days before the next bleed. So for different cycle lengths, ovulation can occur at different times. This is a rough guide only, as ovulation can be delayed, for example due to sickness or stress. The fertile window starts a few days before ovulation when cervical mucus starts to turn wetter and more profuse.

Hun, there is no "safe' time. Most women typically ovulate sometime in the middle of their cycle, however is IS possible to ovulate anytime and since you do not know when your partner ovulates, I strongly suggest using protection unless you are prepared to become a dad. Even with protection however, it is still possible to get her pregnant...No method of birth control is 100% fool proof.

There is NO absolutely safe time. People sometimes think that during the period is the safest time, but sometimes women even get pregnant during that time. The BEST time to avoid pregnancy AND disease is when you are using a condom.

In general, from ninth day of the start of the period to the twenty first day it is not safe, rest of the days it is safe provided the period is regular and in time.

Well there is no truly safe time, but I would avoid the week after her period ends because that's when she will probably ovulate.
