my son found a bug outside my front door and it was nothing i have ever seen befor and it is reall hard to explne what it looks like but i will try ... it was about 4-5 inches long broun but almost transparent it had a black stripe around what i figured to be its neck and all of its legs were totaly nuderneeth its body and if you messed with it somthing came out of its mouth that was i a y shape and when it was left alone it would go back in its mouth *** i looked clocer and this is the strange part it had a short black line just under its skin that would go up the body it looked verry odd i have not seen another since then but would like to know what it is/was can anyone help

Since there are nearly a half million species, your description is not enough...If you go to a lawn and garden center, Ortho Chemicals has a manual there with photos or drawings of many pests, but it seems that it is not likely to be there...it doesn't cause crop or flower damage, so if there is a University near you, go to the Entomology department. Also when you ask a question like this, you need to tell us where you are...if you are in Africa, then they have different types there than in Florida.

Try google. Kind of sounds like a csorpion in Arizona but not urer. The lightrt onrd sre motr deadly,









































Sounds like a scorpion in Arisona. Try google under bugs in Arizona area. Lighter scoroions can be more deadly!!

i would type "entemology" in google and see what comes up. could it have been a potato bug?? it aint no chicken, it aint no slug, just a high gloss pin striped potato bug???
