yes, we bought our home on a foreclosure and the previous people took all light fixtures. the difference once we replaced them not only from visual but the comfort level from the correct lighting was an incredible difference. our home is now worth much more just from a small amount of work.

Yes and no. Light fixtures that are well placed and attractive will enhance your home. Weird fixures or fixtures in really odd places may make you home less attractive. Like any change to your decor, it is a matter of decor, but if you are looking to sell the house, keep is simple.

Yes especially if you live in a home where they didn't put overhead fixtures in the bedrooms.
