I am not sure if san mateo is a county in California. I do know that the most expensive town to live in is Atherton Ca. (in the San Francisco bay area) I believe Atherton is in San Mateo County. It is not Los Angeles or New York but they are in the top 20. California has the most in the top 10. Go to Forbes.com they have a list. Many of the bay area athletes live there. You have to have some kind of pedigree to live there. The homes start at 2 mill to keep poor folks out. Where do the maids live?
