Is the I-5 in California open tonight?

It was closed because of the fire and I am wondering if its open tonight...

Check out http://www.dot.ca.gov/ , enter "5" under "Check Current Highway Conditions", and it will give you a current report. Or, alternatively, call their toll-free line, 1-800-427-ROAD, for current conditions.

Oh, and as of right now (Sunday, September 17, 2006 at 20:42), there are closures due to construction in San Diego, Imperial, and Orange counties.
