My grandpa was having a "spell" last night and periodically throughout the day. He though the year was 1996, and couldn’t remember things. The doctors said there is a mass on his frontal lobe, but doesn’t know how serious it is. He has a pace maker and a steel rib which makes him unable to do some of their tests for examination. If anyone has a clue about this condition please let me know. If you need MORE information you can email me

if he has a mass on his frontal lobe, then that should do it. It could be applying pressure or any number of things. What kind of mass? tumor?

A tumor is causing the memory problems. The metal in his body could cause problems with magnetic resonance procedures. I would try a second opinion at a big city, over half a million people, if he is seeing a local small town doc.

thee has to be some test that can be done. they haven't had all these forever, there must be an alternative test. It sounds like he may have a tumour but don't jump to conclusions. has he been tested for parkinson's. surely they can do an ultrasound if there is no other way. good luck and keep us up to date
