I want to connecting two switches using RJ-45 connectors. What type of wiring that I must use: Straight or Cross over?

Each switches contain 24 ports. May I use random port or I must use uplink port?

Connect the "uplink" port on one of the switches to a regular port on the other switch, using a straight cable.

Use uplink port only using straight cable. Most switches that have an uplink port get really flaky if you use a crossover cable into another port.
