Yes, but I have to okay what they are going to print before it goes to printer. Sometimes kids only want one page, but they end up printing 100. I only get one printer cartridge a semester. Also, some kids are printing things needlessly or inappropriately. It is up to the teacher to monitor what is printed on classroom printer.

If the information is pertaining to your class and the quantity of printing is not excessive, then yes - it is part of the budget for your subject.
However, if it were for personal use then perhaps you should speak to your Head Teacher to make a policy that any personal use printing would be charged at a nominal rate to cover the expenses, i.e. printer cartridges, paper, wear and tear on the printers, etc. It might also be a good idea to allocate specific times for this as doing personal printing in class time is not a good thing for you or for the student.

I am not a certified teacher but do teach a community schools type classes called "My kids got me a computer - now what do I do with it?" Most are 45ish plus but have had a number 25-35 yr old students as well.
No printing during overall class "subject / lecture" time, and I disconnect the printers. Reconnect them when it is "open lab".
The general rule is "If I show everyone or read what you just printed and you would be embarrassed - don't print it". Most folk are fine with it, those that aren't cooperative or are disruptive I disable their network printer access.
So yes I let them print from the Web

My teacher does. I see no reason not to, unless you have to pay for the ink and stuff, in which case you should have them use the school's printers in the computer labs or something so that it isn't an expense to you.
