moths hate sunlight which sheep generally get in pleanty. Also sheep produce a lotta hair oil (Lanolin) which is scrubbed out before its spun into yarn i suspect that is also a moth deterant.

No, most sheep farmers use pour on dewormers and insecticides so the moths die. good question
