According to a recent government study - with the aid of two subcommittees to determine the exact definition of the word "bug" - to differentiate them from "insect", "pest", and other unscientific terms - there were 236,735,811,423 casualties due to collision with automobiles in 2005. That number did not include collisions with trucks, buses or the teeth of motorcyclists.

You have to make basic assumptions.
In which country do you want to count, or whole world? How many bugs hits on windscreen per miles and how many on the ground? What is average miles traveling per car per day? What is the number of total cars traveling? Make a figure then x 365 =
You got it.

i know on some trips that i've taken the front of my van has been totally covered with them...
a better question would be.... what would our planet be like if it wasn't for all the millions and millions of bugs that get killed by autos?

we need to get all the cars together once a year to check how many dents are in the each cars, each dent counts as one insect killed,or how many stuck to the tires.
i think it's impossible to know how many bugs are killed each year

we dont have a number that size, to use our number system you would have to break it down into how many per trillionth of a second, even then the number would be estamated at whatever the highest number is that you know how to say.
