how is it there in terms of crime and what not? has or does anyone live there?

Not all north las vegas is bad. Yes, most of north is bad, but theres alot of closed communities that are nice. Do your research, my parents live on revere and commerce and its a closed community. Very nice and clean, good neightbors. Stay away from streets like bruce, carey, most of nellis and 4th street.

North Las Vegas used to be considered "ghetto," but they are trying to make it better. There are now a lot of nice housing subdivisions, although the older areas are still sort of trashy. If you move into a newer part of North Las Vegas, you'll be fine.

It REALLLLY depends on where...I live in North Vegas myself and its going to crap but places like Aliante are beautiful.
Schools in North Las Vegas are terrible though.

If you want to live in a dark home with bars on the windows and enjoy living in fear of being robbed, raped or shot, sure it's a great place. It's about as close to living in a third world country as you can get. They need to change the name from North Vegas to North Somalia.
