The question is; If a new mother is having a problem at the end of pregnancy, and there is a choice to be made, save the mother or save the child. All men say save the mother, and all women say save the kid. The male point of view is so logical that its a fact - save the woman... we can make another kid. So why ladies? Why willingly die for a person that hasn't been born, when you could easily birth ten more?

So then why give up on all the other babies you could make?

ok. I understand you girls get the connection with the new life way before we do. So isn't that what makes birth, BIRTH? What could be more official than the new life being born? She/He is born, the father gets to meet them, and we would never have to make a decision like this AFTER the birth.

A mother love for a child is something a mother and a child can understand. That life you feel move inside you feel your heart with joy and happiness. It no easy decision but your child life and safety come first.

As a woman, I'm disagreeing with you. I say save the woman! I would never ever die for a potential child. Then again, I'll never let a baby destroy my body and my mind and later on my life. No thank you!
I was 16 weeks pregnant before I had an abortion that saved my life. I didn't feel anything but contempt and hatred for that so called baby. It's wrong not to save what's already alive just for a potential. Would you chop down a 20 year old tree to make room for it's seedlings when the rest of the forest is fertile?
Condom sex? No way. Hormonal birth control sex. Yes please. Condoms ruin sex. I'm practically married.

The view point comes from the fact that no male knows what it feels like to carry a child to have a living growing part of you and another person inside you.Besides dealing with living after the grief of losing a child might be more than ppl can bear. That and the fact that you cant guarantee that she will be able to have another child and the fact that it is such a selfish decision to make. No- one that has ever had children could make such a selfish choice

Because men may only view a baby as a "real" person once the baby is born. Women feel that baby kicking and growing when we are early on in the pregnancy. You can't switch one person for another. That includes babies, even if they aren't born. I would have given my life for my daughter. Maybe the next time you give life to something you can tell me why you would put your life before your childs.

Why should the unborn child not be as important as the one that could be made if the mom lives? Save the child, unless there is absolutely no possibility the child will live long after birth.

i agree with the mans perspective.....ALTHOUGH....as a new soon to be mother (16 weeks pregnant) i would have to say a baby grows inside you and makes you feel responsible for it even before its born. so therefore a mother would give up her life for her unborn child because i guess thats the way god made mothers to be.
but your right, a mother could live and the baby could die and although it would be heart breaking for the mother, she could always have more children and live to be 100yrs old. so i guess its just a matter of being pregnant and hormonal/emotional and carrying the baby and getting attatched to it. it makes you just want the best for it, even if it means you have to die to do it.
good question!

First of all, piepiepie might need some counseling. I totally disagree w/ abortion in all circumstances (rape, medical crisis for the mother, etc.) So, to me, piepiepie seems extremely selfish. I would gladly die for my child. I've had a chance to live my life. This new INNOCENT baby hasn't gotten the chance to do anything. I could not live w/myself if I chose to live and let me child die. I would feel like a murderer.

I see it as you have this little gift from God and if it is time for you to go then you must. The baby has not lived life and not experienced their first steps, the first word "da da", their first day of kindergarten etc. These little moments are very sentimental to a woman. We have gone through a lot to carry that little gift and want that little baby to do all these things. If we must watch from our life here on earth than great, if it is meant that we watch from above that it what is meant to be.

I would give my life for my child. My child would have a chance in this world and be brought up by a parent that loves them as well. I have complete faith in my husbands's ability to raise my children and if it came down to me or baby I'd say take me. Give my child a chance.

Because any woman who truly loves her child would die for her child even it hasn't been born yet. The child should always come first.
