I am not denying it or advocating it, but do we actually have any control over it?

When you review the scientific research there is evidence of warming but that it is also cyclical and it is not influenced by human activity. This is evidence supported by over 18,000 scientists.

What amazes me is that people still believe there is a human influence on what is a normal cycle. I cannot understand why Americans or others for that matter will not look into this phony assertion and see the facts for themselves. They are like stupid sheep being led to the slaughter.

There is no global warming that is influenced by human activity. Gore lied.

Read the reports if you believe in it.

Yes, we do have control over it to some exent. I think the planet could probably absorb a certain level of greenhouse emissions, but we are exceeding that. We need to cut our CO2 emissions pretty quickly and pretty sharply. Even then, it would be decades before a cut in emissions starts to have an impact.

The two biggest problems I see here are called China and India. If the entire industrial world were to cut their greenhouse emissions in half today, ten years from now they would right back at the same levels because of the massive industrialization processes going on in those two countries. And those two countries alone contain about a third of the world population.

It's going to get worse before it gets better. And the people who will pay the price are those without the technology to adapt their environment.

Global Warming exists or we wouldn't be able to exist on this planet. The problem is is man exacerbating the situation? We don't have enough information yet. There is so much we don't know about the earth. How could we possibly have control over global warming?

While we can't completely stop the process, we do have the ability to either speed it up or slow it down. Our poor decisions could speed up the process greatly. It is a natural occurance, but it has been proven that pollutants that we put in the atmosphere will speed up the process of global warming.

global warming is happening... you have the real debate at hand... can we stop it. I personally don't think so. It would be nice to try to take care of the environment... but we are people and we have to live. what exactly is it that we should stop doing? and how long has the world been in existence and how long have we as humans been in existence... i think its, unfortunately, natural
