I have traveled a lot recently.. to asia.. australia n europe. Every city i went to had hostile sentiment towards the US. Its to do with americas foreign policies. Also the ignorance of americans on geography and cultures, n yet meddling with every country in the world if the US sees a gain.

I would say yes. Probably because of our aggressive foreign policy. Also, being the best means being the most hated by those striving for your position. Everyone wants to beat us, but they know they can't. However, we are also the most loved country, because we have brought the world to a more peaceful state, in relative terms (compare to say, the 17th-19th centuries, or any other time period in history), because the world is now unipolar, with the United States on top. It's a double edged sword, and on the other side is being the most loved b/c american stuff is the "cool" stuff in other nations. Kind of weird, huh?
We are the most powerful, richest, most successful (not to mention the best in summer olympics), culturally dominating country in the world, and so therefore we will be more hated than anyone.
Although I would shift the worst country award to France. They suck.

Yes. The main reason is that is has the most influence, so people spend the most time thinking about it compared to other nations. There fore everyone has an opinion about the US, and anything about which people have an opinion has generally 50 percent positive and negative feedback. Therefore probably half the world hates the US.
Not only that, but we are the most familiar nation, and familiarity breeds contempt.
Not only that, but serious, dark, malicious, envy plays a huge role. Didn't want to sound simplistic, but that's it. The only way to cure that is to give all the money away, which would be squanered, then the world would collapse. Sounds self-centered but it is accurate. Sorry for those not born here. It's even better than it sounds.

I don't think we're MOST hated but probably hated alot, I think maybe people that visit different countries aren't always used to it... take South America for example, everyone is always hugging and kissing when they meet, but in America we only get "Back off, this is private property", and people aren't always as welcomed.

I dont know that we are the most hated but many countries dont like us because we have free democracy. We let our women work, we are free to do pretty much whatever we want (if its legal). I have heard that some countries dont like us because we try to push our way of life onto them. I believe in freedom and free democracy, but we shouldnt be pushing our beliefs and way of life onto others if we are doing this.

I don't know either. Hatred lies within the heart of the hater not with the object of hate. If its true we should save a few tax dollars on foreign aid. Cut off some of these deadbeat haters.

Hate to answer a question with a question, but...
If this is such an awful place, why are there so many trying to emigrate to here both legally and illegally?

no, i don't think it is, we should do a survey and find out which country most people hate. I really don't think it will be the US though.

Depends what criteria you use. If you judge a country by its leader, then that's a resounding yes.
