How is the office environment? Do the other workers in the office wear jeans? I work for a high-end jeans company and even though everyone is very trendy and wears jeans to the office every day, I would still get more decked out to impress for the interview - you can NEVER be overdressed, just underdressed. Depending on the company, I would choose either a cute wrap dress and heels/high boots with or without blazer...or a sleek pant suit with funky top underneath so it's nothing too stuffy or corporate looking. Show that you put effort into it and don't look like every other girl on the street wearing jeans - stand out and once you get the job, then you can wear jeans as much as you want...Good luck!

Depends on where you are interviewing -- in general it's better to err on the side of professional, but if you are interviewing in a place where you will be wearing jeans all of the time, and the outfit really does look nice, you might be ok. I guess what I am saying is you should wear the clothes you will be expected to wear if you had the job.

No jeans, never!! Not if you really want the job. If it's a professional job I'd go for a business suit or nice blouse/top with dress pants or a skirt. Khakis are ok for less professional jobs (like positions that are not management). Be sure to send a thank you note to your prospective employer after the interview, it will impress them, plus remind them you are still interested in the job.

I was in the working world for 11 years and I got my job which 3 people applied for because I wore a dress. Yes a dress!!! I think jeans or ok for casual Friday, but then again I am a bit older than you. But I think a nice dress or slacks would be best. Good luck on your new job.

It depends on the type of job your looking for. Jeans are really nice for weekends, for teachers and students, for constructions, for some sports. But for an office type of job, wear a suit, sometimes a pair of jeans are more expensive than the suit, but jeans are sport clothing here and anywhere in the world.
I would not risk it, it is better to be over dress than under-dress for must situations in life.
Good Luck!

Even if the normal business dress allows for jeans, you will stand out as the more respectful and responsible employee if you do not wear jeans. Do you have any khaki pants or a nice plain skirt you can wear with the outfit?

it all depends on where you're applying for... for most modern retail stores for younger people, jeans are pretty much acceptable.. but if it's an interview for a business company or something professional... jeans are a no no.
