Ok lets be honest here.......not many of us are willing to give up our computers or air conditioners are we and if we give up electricity we are gonna give up both of those things....so ill go with motor car.

I would say motor vehicle...as of present time I dont own a vehicle of my own and get around just fine because I have a great family that helps me out.

Motor vehicle. Will have to find alternative but similarly effective modes of transport to replace it though.

Electricity cannot be done away with as that will make the computer and air conditioner useless (unless you run it with fuel - which is powering the electricity in the first place).

We may have to find other eco-friendly ways of generating electricity and invent more 'green' computers and air-conditioning, but these 2 are indispensable for communications, education and in the latter case, for those in adverse climates.

Well you can't really give those options. If you live without electricity then you also live without a/c and a computer. There are quite a few people who already live without one or more of those things though. I moved to Germany almost two years ago and they don't believe in a/c here. I had to buy a unit for my bedroom just to make it liveable. I also have quite a few German friends that don't even have a drivers licence. For some its a choice for others its just how it is.

Well, without the electricity, the other 3 don't work. without the computer the motor vehicle doesn't work. Without the motor vehicle (trucks) nothing gets moved around the country and people in cities would starve, so I'll have to go without Air Conditioning.

Nooo, don't make me give up my computer. I've lived without electricity a few days during hurricane Charlie and don't want to do that again.
I guess I'd give up air conditioning, but would have to redesign my house to get better air flow and maybe move out of Florida.

Given my climate, I would certainly pick air conditioner. You can easily replace that with a ceiling fan or better yet, find a cool place to entertain yourself. Without electricity or computers, none of us would be answering your question right now, and for plenty of people, cars really are a necessity.

The computer for sure...I lived for years without one...if you didn't have electricity, you couldn't have air conditioning, the computer or if you live in Minnesota, a place to plug the engine heater in for your motor vehicle during the winter!!!

Air conditioner...I'm doing without it now. If I had to cross another item off the list, it'd be motor vehicle. I almost said the computer, but with it, I can travel anywhere anyway.

Easy - TV. I don't even swtich it on, the only person in our house who watches it is my husband. Hate the telly more than almost anything.

I find it incredibly intrusive because I enjoy my own thoughts and imagination. Cannot bear someone taking over that section of my brain by way of the eye & ears. It's like someone dictating to you how to think!
