Although Frodo was the one who bore the Ring, I don't think he would have made it very far without Samwise. Sam saved Frodo from demise many times over. I don't think Sam got the recognition he deserved. Of course, this is just MY opinion.

Why is it that when a person shows love to someone of the same sex, it's assumed that he or she is gay? There are many types of love. I think the "love" that Sam and Frodo showed each other was that of friendship and respect.

Samwise!

Frodo was a whining, self-pitying weakling.

Sam carried Frodo AND the Ring. He defeated Shelob, and Gollum.

Frodo saw himself as a RINGBEARER. Sam was faithful and loyal, and KNEW that he loved Frodo.

Sam was the ONLY one who was able to resist the lure of the Ring, and ultimately, to destroy it.

It would have to be Sam because he carried Frodo up the volcano in the last movie, and when he was going to let the ring drop into the magma, it spoke to him and he GAVE IN!!! they both went through hardships and Frodo carried the ring for most of the three movies so its understanding that he gave in, in the end because I probably would have too!!! But it was Sam that was there the whole time and he tried to tell Frodo to throw it in and when Frodo fell off the edge, he had that look on his face to Sam that he was going to let go because he's had enough but Sam pretty much told him to NOT LET GO like almost in a tone like if he does Sam will come down there in the lava and kick his a*s*s*!!! So he saved his life and SAM IS THE HERO YAY!!! LOL

Weird question! I thought that movie was good but honestly, didn`t it seem like Sam was in love with Frodo throughout the whole thing? There were lots of pretty gay moments between them. It`s kind of messed up that they made the two gayest characters in the whole story the heroes. I`m not saying that people of the same sex can`t be friends or friendly with eachother but if Sam`s character had been a female, and had said and done the exact same things(was the exact same character only female), I would think she was in love with him, just the way I think the male character that Sam is behaved in a manor that someone in love would behave.I would have liked seeing the Elf Archer guy with the long blonde hair (forgot his name) be the hero. He was kinda hot. Lol. Ok, so I think they are both the heroes because neither one of them could have done it without the other and they both played a part in getting the ring there. Although Sam was ultimately the one who actually played the biggest part in getting the ring in the fire, he would have never been able to get the ring that far without Frodo.

I've been saying the same thing for years, but it's always Frodo this Frodo that. He never would have made it without Sam.

i agree with you whole-heartedly. no one else could have bore the weight of the ring like frodo though. sam was a true friend who was there no matter what frodo said or accused him of. dang that gollum.....
