And everything was cheaper too! You didnt have to worry about keeping your doors locked and your windows closed. Dad worked, Mom stayed home and we ate homecooked meals not fast food or microwaved junk. Kids respected their parents and got a good butt beating when deserved--now u cant touch a kid without it being called abuse. Oh yes, the good old days!

I am not an older person, but, jeeez...I think people are WAY too involved in fast paced technology. Yes, I love my computer, but aside from that, I think people don't personally interact like they used to, and some seem to be very self absorbed. The fact that most people are carrying a telephone on their body 24/7 is enough to say that life is rushing by way too fast.

I like all my days - the old ones and the new ones - hahaha.

But seriously, your pace is completely within your control. Choose what you want out of life , then figure out a way to get it. If life is too fast paced for you, you can change it.

yes, the good ole days, pre microwave, computer, indoor plumbing, labor laws, convenient stores, prepackaged foods, tv's, air conditioning, fast food, atm's and credit cards, cell phones, electonics. the good ole days when you routinely had death from flu, high infant mortality at birth(read the stones at an old graveyard), no minimum wage, walk to school 5 miles up hill both ways with 6 foot of snow on the ground, outhouses, no air travel. yep, the good ole days............right. you think your days go by fast now, back then you worked from sunup to sundown, there was no jumping in the car and going to the mall, camping down by the lake or just cruising for the fun of it with your friends.

I do. We didn't have the things to worry about back then that we do now. In other words, gangs, terrorists, being safe out on the street at night, letting our children ride their bikes or play with their friends outside.
