i had an employee showing eeoc papers about a case that is fasle to try and get another job after we caught him steeling money from the store

if the papers he is showing is false, then he is lying, so you can treat him the same as a person who was telling false things about your company to other employees.

if the case is real, he has a right to show it.

If you caught him stealing money why is he still working, just fire him for stealing. That is a non brainer.

He can show his documents, ask for help, but it's not wise to show his hand to people not involved. There is certainly no law against it.
