Unfortunately I cannot find this savings bond. All I recall is that the savings bond was purchased at a Citbank in Brooklyn Heights NY.
Would I be able to redeem a bond that has been lost or destroyed?

Even though many bond owners are careful, accidents still happen! For example, bonds are sometimes accidentally thrown away after owners have taken them out to count them. Unfortunately, bonds are also lost or destroyed as a result of fires, floods, and thefts.
To get your bond replaced, complete Form PD F 1048. On this form, provide the approximate issue date along with the complete names, addresses, social security number that appeared on the bond, and the bond serial number. If you don't know the serial number or denomination, just write "unknown" in the space provided. If the bond owner is a minor, the form should be signed by both parents and the minor's age and social security number should be included. Mail the completed form to: Bureau of the Public Debt, Parkersburg, WV 26106-7012.

The only way I know of to redeem a lost or destroyed savings bond is if you have the number of the bond recorded someplace. Unfortunately this isn't something that anyone thinks of doing when they get bonds. There is a slim possibility if it was a gift and not something you purchased yourself, that the person who gave it to you may have recorded the number and might still have it. At any rate it would be worth asking.

Unfortunately, no. Savings bonds are treated just as if they were cash. When they are lost or destroyed, it's just like losing a $100 bill. There could be an exception made if you have the serial number from the bond but it's up to you to keep that recorded.

That would depend on the type of savings bond it is. Some are issued in a person's name & can be redeemed if you know the person's name and social security number.

No i could have finished or suggested non of the failings you have cautioned! there is not something incorrect with peoples sexualities. all human beings has diverse tastes whether that be sexual or not. i've got no toddlers yet whilst i did and that they informed me they have been gay i could have suggested i don't recommendations!
