Instead of droning on about temperatures that you can see right up there on your screen, you don't need anybody to read them off to you. What a waste of airtime. 15 minutes of arguably accurate weather predictions and 20 seconds on the carnage in Baghdad.

Of course you're right Snorf. And I do. I check Windlines and webcams. But it sure would be nice if more attention were paid to the prediced winds, considering what a bore the recitation of predicted temperatures is. More importantly, where is the REAL news?

windspeed and direction can vary considerably within at station's brodcast area. Would it help you to know the wind speed and directoin for a place 40 miles away? Besides, not that many people ask for it.

Because only about 3 people have a hanglider. Are you that lazy that you can't go online and check aviation weather?
