I hate Comcast as they take advantage of their monopoly; treating you as if you are of no consecuence.

DSL is slower, but the customer service is much better. Cable companies have always been able to draw you in and then boost their prices because they (unlike the phone companies) are not government regulated. There is also Voice over IP that allows you to make phone calls through the internet unlimited minutes / long distance so long as you have an internet connection. If you do not need high speed you can always go through services like JUNO, Netzero, PeoplePC, etc.. NOTE: If you use high speed through Covad or other provider your local phone service representatives willl still be the people that connect you to your high speed internet service...

Two ones i know of are, Satellite Internet, and high speed laptop card internet from wireless phone service.

Tyr your phone company... many offer a high sped internet package with their phone services.. in my area it's AT&T..

sbc yahoo dsl. its only $12.99 right now for aslong as you have it. as long as you dont disconnect its always going to be $12.99
