do you remember the first time you were grounded?

all i remeber was i was playing grand theft auto 3 (this was back in 2001)and my dad walk up to the playstation 2 turned it off and said your grounded and i threw the remote on the ground and ran to my room with a frown on my face

I don't know if this was actually the first time...but I do remember what I think was the first time that I got grounded. I talked my little sister into spray painting the sidewalk, the propane tank, and the horse trough with me. I lived on a farm in Indiana I think it was maybe 1989. My mom came out and saw what we had done. She grounded me of course because I was the instigator and my sister was sent to her room. I was supposed to be going to my first Girl Scout meeting that night and I wanted to join 4H but I wasn't aloud to because of what I did. I was grounded for like 2 weeks, no tv, no phone, no nothing. It sucked but that night when my sister and I were sent to our rooms...we had a landing upstairs and that was my room and the stairway connected my room to my sisters...so we would get the barbies and play in the stairwell until mom spotted us. That is the first one that I remember but I was grounded a lot. There is really nothing to do on a farm but get into some kind of trouble.

I was always grounded. ALWAYS. It's hard to pinpoint the first time those words came out of my moms mouth. But I just grounded my 10 year old for the first time ever a couple of days ago. I'll remember that forever.
