So that makes the Ultimate Hawkeye and Ultimate Colossus... There will be others, no doubt.

I was sooooooooo upset!!! I have nothing against gay people, many of my friends are gay and bi. But I was just so mad because I am for the original. I've read X-Men for 3 years now, the stuff from the sixties, seventies, and eighties, and I am such a traditional. It was always Peter and Kitty then. Now Kitty's dating Spider-Man (who came up with that?) and Colussus is gay and dating Northstar. I'm sorry, its just hard for me to accept.

I've read the regular X-Men series since the 80's, but I never got into the Ultimates, none of them. So this is news to me. My first reaction is that I don't like it. In Uncanny, Colossus died to release the Legacy Virus cure, in one of the most heroic gestures of his career. That is the Colossus that I remember.

Now they are doing the politically correct thing and making him gay. It's just a sad comment on today's society to me. I don't really care about the gay part, it's just that they have to change things to make gays more prominent as part of showing their pc nature. That sucks to me.
