I JUST MOVED IN TO MY NEW HOUSE LAST SUMMER WITH A BEAUTIFUL PEAR TREE AND A POMOGRANT TREE. THIS YEAR THEY BARELY BLOOMED. ANY SUGGESTION FOR NEXT YEAR.

It could have just been a late frost. If you have a late frost, it will kill a lot or even most of the flower buds. Don't worry, it should bloom good as new as long as another late frost doesn't get a hold of it.

Sometimes when fruit trees are in a lawn they get too much nitrogen from the lawn fertilizer. This causes a lot of vegetative growth but not much reproductive growth. When it's time to fertilize in the spring try going around the trees with the lawn fertilizer and use some fruit tree spikes. They provide more phosphorous which should push more blooms.

And it's a possibility, as was earlier said, it could have been nothing more than a late frost that killed the flower buds.
