honestly, it's never a good idea to wear any kind of rings when you're pregnant. no matter how big they are, they still may not big enough. each woman's body is different during pregnancy. a friend of mine advised me to take my rings off when i told her i was pregnant as she ended up having to have all of her wedding rings cut off of her finger due to her body swelling. i was glad i did take my rings off as by my 5th month, i couldn't even begin to get them on. after my baby was born, it was about 12 weeks before i was able to get my rings back on and be back to normal for me. my doctor told me later that it is never a good idea to wear rings while pregnant as you never know when and where your body will swell while pregnant. it sounds good to me and she was right.

My hands and feet both swelled when I got pregnant with my first child. I hate to say it, but even though the swelling went down, they never did go back to their normal size. My wedding ring has not fit me in 2 years and I had to replace all my shoes as my feet grew half a size. I am pregnant with my second child and have not any swelling this time. You really may want to wait on that ring or else get it re-sized later. (I have not had my ring re-sized since a friend of mine suggested waiting till I was done having kids to have it done so you dont have to keep going in and paying to have it re-sized). Another suggestion is to get an inexpensive band to wear if you are that worried about not having a ring on your finger. Your friends and family all know that you are married and no strangers are going to question you. No worries.

For most people, taking your rings on and off every day will prevent them from ever getting stuck. This is what my aunt did and it worked for her.
I didn't have any swelling until my last month and it was partly due to the start of summer. It wasn't so much that I couldn't wear it, it was just enough that I chose not to wear it. Depending on how humid it is where you live, your rings fit a little differently in summer every year!

Yes, my ring got stuck and we had to pry it off when I was 8 months pregnant. A year later I've lost the weight, but my fingers are now one size bigger than before.

My hands did swell, and my wrists ached awfully bad. I left my ring on though, and had no problems.
I wouldn't get my ring bigger, though, since most of the time you are married, you won't be pregnant, so you won't want the ring sliding around! Congratulations on your marriage!!

It depends I guess on the person, my hands didn't start swelling until closer to my third trimester. My rings don't fit me anymore so I think that you can go ahead and get your size, your fingers will go back to normal postpartum. Good luck when you do get pregnant!

yes your fingers swell up a little. I would take your ring off as soon as it gets tight I wear mine around my neck on a chain. It is unsafe to let it get stuck. You might have to get it cut off.

I took my rings off when I got pregnant, then after the baby was about three months old I had my rings resized.
