I know that the hard drive contains data on anything you have done at your computer even files you have erased like cookies. I know policemen access Hard drives to check the suspects history on the computer. How can I access the Hard Drive?

Depending on what you want to do, or what you want to find on your hard drive, there are multiple options available to you. Right clicking and going to properties will show you disk volumes, etc. If you want to check the drivers or the functionality of devices, click on the Hardware tab of that Properties box and go into the Device Manager. If you are looking to find files stored on the hard drive, I would right click my computer and click Explore. This gives you a nice hierarchal tree of info so you can see where everything is stored and how it's connected to every other device in the computer.

Easy. If you are on windows go to Start -> My Computer-> and select the drive you want (usually its C://) You can also right click on the hard drive and select properties to see the space on it, defragment it, and other options...

Your computer only stores that information if you are running windows. What you need to do if you don't want that information recorded, is hit your computer with a ginormous hammer whilst it is running windows. Then go out and buy a macintosh.

You can see what is on the hard drive by opening My Computer, then opening C:

If you are concerned about your history, when in Int. Exp., clickTools, cl Internet Options.

- Delete cookies
- Delete files (offline)
- Delete History - then set days to store pages to 0

Your history will be empty at power-on.
