Unbelieveable. Up by 2 tds and lose the game in OT. That was embarrassing. Why the heck would Reid or The def coord have the d backs and corners play soft zone?????? That kind of defense drives me crazy. You know they are trying to get into field goal range.......Why wouldn't you play up on the receiver? Bump him off his route especially when they are looking to gain a 1st down. Makes me so dam angry...arrrghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

The Eagles got too comfortable with the big lead they had over the Giants. I hate to say this about my team but they quit. I agree about the defense. I do, however, think the ref made a bad call when he rulled that interception by Brian Dawkins a catch for the Giants... and then it wasn't even reviewed. That could have changed the game. But, overall, it wasn't so much that the Giants won that game... it was that the Eagles lost it. That's what happens when you think you've got it won and start to relax. Welcome to Philly... this is Philly sports. The birds have a way of breaking our hearts. But it's only week 2... it's a long season and we still have every opportunity to turn it around. Chalk it up to a learning experience for Andy and the boys.

M. Vick was injured, although he stilled played. M. Vick worrying about a Green Bay Blitz the whole time. Green Bay Blitz in the second half. Akers missed two field goals. Jackson got injured during the game and missed half of it. Never got his footing back. A lot of arguing. Lost their 2 point conversion. M. Vick should not have done that quarterback sneak, he could barely stand. Mathews form Green Bay was pestering the Eagles Eagles defense missed two fumbles from Green Bay. Wind was tough. It was more like Eagles vs. Packers vs. The Wind A lot of stuff, basically. But it was a good show.

I totally agree the only thing the nickel back or prevent defense does is stop the over the top touchdown pass. So many more passes can be caught underneath the coverage and then it's a miss tackle away from a touchdown catch and run.
When a team plays to protect a lead they open the door to momentum change and that's always dangerous.

Typical Andy Reid(and a lot of other coaches), get ahead, go conservative, "prevent" defense, get your butt kicked before you realize it. Refuse to admit it's happening until it's too late.
