I find myself faced with two choices, The first is to live how those around me want me to live or the second to leave it behind and follow my dream of a different career in the armed services which i want. Which is the better option to live a lie or to follow ones dreams and move away from their family?

If we live how others want us to live we are cheating ourselves of our dreams,goals and own aspirations. Living how others want us to live will only cause hurt, anger and resentment because you might later blame them because you didn't follow your own way. If they love you and support you they will understand that you have your own life and you have to do what makes you happy.

Dear I think you should follow your dreams. You can get a good education in the armed services, and you will have something to be proud of. Your family and friends will see the positive change in you, and will be proud also. Follow your dreams. The Good Lord be with you. o if you live a lie then will you be happy like 20 or 30 yrs from now? or have them be mad or whatevr for like 3 days and except your choice? well if you do what you dream not many people can get it you have a choice. so dont let anyone tell you what to do that is why when you turn 18 you have the choice for yourself. do it

It depends if you are single or not!!
If you are single do what you wan't it's your life
But if you are married suck it up & stay with your family
