They just determined that our Sun is 65 Billion years old. That is very recent and fairly accurate....I'm guessing at the moon landings but I think it was four times..............

The United States has landed men successfully upon the moon 6 times Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17. Apollo 13 was the trip that was canceled because of an explosion in route mad famous by the movie with Tom Hanks.
Until recently, astronomers estimated that the Big Bang occurred between 12 and 14 billion years ago. To put this in perspective, the Solar System is thought to be 4.5 billion years old and humans have existed as a species for a few million years.
Astronomers estimate the age of the universe in two ways: 1) by looking for the oldest stars; and 2) by measuring the rate of expansion of the universe and extrapolating back to the Big Bang; just as crime detectives can trace the origin of a bullet from the holes in a wall.

Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.

I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.

12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.

The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?

Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.

Case closed.

the age of the universe is still being debated, it depends on what theory you beleive, some beleive in the big bang, thats fine , but still unknow as far as age, many eons, but some think that the big bang is only the beginning, that since space is void, all of the particles from the big bang eventually slow to a stop, quit spreading, then start to come back together, eventualy compressing back to the original size of a pea, then it explodes again, and repeats the prosses all over, and this could have been happening for all of eternity, it is a spance of time our weak mids cannot imagine. now the solar system is a little easier to imagine some trillions of years old but still unknown, because there is a theory that says that when the sun ignited it blew away a lot of the remaining matter that didnt bond into planets, others say its all still here, and so they calculate how long the gravity of the particles would take to bond and clear out the spaces in between the planets. the US landed on the moon 3 times, then when we were sure that we couldnt make any money off of what was there, we never went back.

The currently accepted age of the Universe is 13.7 billion years.

The Solar System formed 4.6 billion years ago.

12 Americans have walked on the Moon in 6 separate landings. Other (unmanned) space craft have also landed on the Moon

The universe is between 10 and 20 billion years old, but current figures state it's closer to 13 billion.

It would seem logical enough to denote the age of the solar system as being around the age of the sun, which is about 4.6 billion years.

Americans (humans) have only landed on the moon once... I can't believe people still question this.

Crikey - lot of guesswork going on with moon landings.

6 times, with 2 astronauts on each occasion. That's 12 different footprints.

There will be no exact age of the universe. Pick one and note it's source. 11.2 to 20 billion years old.

The age of the solar system is around 4.6 billion years old.

Look at the page and count what you consider landing.

No one knows how old the Universe or Solar System is. If we did then we would know all the answers. The right answer would probably be the year it was first discovered or mentioned.

Those last 2 answers are correct.
About 14 billion years, but do we really know for sure?
About 5 billion years, again, how sure are we?
6 times, this one we know for sure.
