Fruit, fruit, and more fruit. Works for me. Throw in a few vegetables here and there. And oh yeah, hot cereal!

You can eat whatever you feel like, but fresh vegetables are good for the vitamin contents and believe it or not, the old recommendation to eat chicken soup actually has a scientific basis! Lots of protein (as well as other helpful mysterious things) and the heat helps with congestion.

No. What you saw is actually the real situation of chicken transportation, yes it's gross. It's the fact, even the Colonel Sander's chicken supplier gets its stock like this, do you think they'll throw it away? Well, you all have eaten it before, how come you are all still here typing merrily? As long as the meat is thoroughly cooked, it's fine for consumption.

You should start out with clear liquids ..give your body & stomach a chance to rest & heal. Than progress to jello's broth than if that works well on to bland food..no spicy foods. Try soups..pudding and hopefully by this time you'll be feeling better to get back to your normal routine.

Hey I'm sick too! Sorry you're nut feeling well. I just have a cold (runny nose, cough, mucus in the throat, achy head, and tired. ) I've been staying away from greasy and fried foods and dairy cause it makes me feel worst. The first day I ate oatmeal. Which was good. And I've been eating applesauce cause it's easy on the throat, cooling, tastes good, and filling for a little while. I've also eaten subway. And ramen , but there was a lot of cheese in it... Which made me feel worst. The first day I also ate stuffed pasta in Alfredo sauce. That really hit the spot. I've nibbled on crackers too. Now, I'm kinda in the same boat you are. I'm trying to figure out what fast food will be alright for me. Anyway I hope you feel better soon. And really just eat rather healthy , and you should feel better soon! Good luck!

Btw if you have a stuffed/congested nose,I'd highly recommend Afrin no drip Severe Congestion. It's really helpful. And helps you breathe so much better

Like throw-up sick?? Mom always said to remember BRAT:

B - Banannas
R - Rice
A - Apples
T - Toast

They are easy on the tummy. Ooh, and if it's not throw-up but the "other end" sick - ha - stay away from milk. It strips the lining of your intestines and will make you sick again. Hope you feel better soon!

no, you'll make yourself feel worse if you start eating normally right away. Eat saltine crackers or dry toast, clear broth and sugarless tea first. If it stays down, go for something heavier.

I would stick with food that are easy to digest like soups and pudding or jello.

if you have a cold eat anything you want. Try to stay away from milk though. I heard it makes more mucus.
