I'm not interested in how I will look if I drop out. I want to focus on perfecting my artistic capabilities, improve my physical condition, etc. School is a distraction I can no longer tolerate.

Preferably, I would like to leave legally, rather than running away to another country (or whatever) until I'm 18. How do I drop out?

I read through some of the responses and it seems it's dependant on where I'm going to school. I'm in Wisconsin, southeast portion.

Generally you can leave High School When you are 16. You can just tell them you are leaving and do the paperwork.

BUT, I would not advise it. Firt of all, your parents would probably go nuts. (If they don't, trade them in for a better model.) I would kick my kids out and tell them to get a job and their own places to live if they dropped out. Second, a High School Diploma, or the GED, is critical for almost every entry level job.Unless of course you want to be a ditch digger, waiter, garbage man, or any number of similar jobs.

It depends on the state you are in. In NC you can stop going to school when you turn 16. Find out if you can stop school and at what age. I STRONGLY suggest at least getting your GED or just your high school diploma.
Have you thought about being home schooled? You can still get your high school diploma but its flexible considering your needs. You will still be able to get that diploma and do all these things you want to do.

i'm no longer addressing all your questions, yet might propose: one million. coming up stable study behavior, 2. getting the final grades you are able to, 3. engaging in greater-curricular activities to grow to be a properly-rounded guy or woman, and, 4. do no longer beat your self up over figuring out at contemporary on your existence's artwork . i'm in simple terms guessing, yet think of which you have until eventually the tip of your sophomore 365 days in undergraduate college to choose for. in spite of if, make certain you examine the scientific college catalog to make certain which you're taking the pre-considered necessary classes.

actually, legally you don't have to complete high school. in most states the law says you have to stay until graduation or age 16. but they don't actually enforce the laws. as for dropping out, if it's a public school, you jsut stop going, or you walk into the office, and tell them you are leaving, it depends on the state laws, but i don' think that they can stop you. and i hope when you dop out that in addition to giving up on school you also give up on hopes of actually making more than enough $ to get by, because no one wants to hire someone who didn't even finish high school. still to each their own

In Arizona you can drop out when you turn 16, but you need parental consent until you are 18. I hope you'll at least get your GED.

Its a very complicated process. You have to stop going to school completly, and that is pretty much it. It is a lot of work, but I am sure you can do it. Seriously tho there is no leagal way to do it, although noone is going to arreast you for it. To "drop out" in high school in the U.S means literary to stop going to school.

Don't do it, you'll regret it later in life. Look at the big picture and not just what you want now. You don't know what you'll be doing 10, 20, 30 etc. years from now.
