cause its a cult, the cult of jesus, he himself was jewish, and I think from some of the stuff in the dead sea scrolls he was trying to tell us that we are ALL the sons and daughters of god, not just him! The apostles in trying to start up the catholic church mystified Jesus into this walk on water kind of deity for their own purposes.
The cult of jesus is really against one of the ten commandments; you shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. In all the Christan churches it is that darn cross with some bleeding white guy on it. This holy trinity thing or holy ghost was just the catholic and other christian churches way of incorporating other pagan faiths in Europe and Asia to get them to join their cult of jesus.
Think about it...

I believe many men I have talked to over the years like to think of devotion to Christ as an emotional issue that a pragmatic, sensible , low-key, I-only-believe-what-I can-see-and-touch person, the miracle of the resurrection to them is stories about bigfoot. They don't see faith as a part of the picture so they are the ones missing out.

Because they have never been exposed to Christ and, therefore, don't know any better. It has been predicted that some will believe and some will NOT believe. Has been, is and always will be. Don't forget, there are women that are also anti-Christ. Pops
