i really don't understand ,,did they take your car from you,,or is it still in repair,,they cant just take your car from you,,with out an explanation,,or something,if they have taken it,,your due some money back for any thing you might have spent on it,and any money you might have payed down on it is due back to you,,if you don't do something about this they might get away with it all together,,if they have taken it for repair there there liable for all repairs, unless stated to you,in writing,,you need to call a lawyer,,and talk to them,,your being scammed i think,,good luck,,i hope this help,s,,,PS my family is in the car business,,and i have never heard of anything like this happening before.

Much more information is needed here. Was the car under warranty, and the seller also the finance source?

If you financed he car with a bank, credit union, or other finance company, and gave them the car because the engine was bad, most likely they treated it as a repossession. The finance company is not responsible for the condition of the vehicle you purchased, they just loaned you money.

If the dealer had a warranty on the vehicle and was supposed to repair it, and they were also the finance source, then the must provide you with an explanation of what happened.

If you gave more information, I may have been able to be more specific with my answer!

OK this makes no sence. Did you buy the car new? if you did its under warranty. If you bought it used and if it is out of warranty then the repair is YOUR responsibility. So you will still have to make payments wether it runs or not. If a credit ro sent it to have an engine put in it sounds like you had a REPO and the are repairing it so they can re sell it. You had better find out because if it is a repo it will frag your credit big time.....

You lost bigtime. I suggest you contact the local office of the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. I would also contact the Attorney General's office in the state you live in and file a formal complaint. Crooks like that should be shut down for good.
