I live in California. So, isn't it like age 18? I'm confused because some of my friends at school said they've already done it.

when you are mentally matured. doesnt matter what your age is. but to be safe, make sure both of you are of legal age.

If 18 is the perfect age, then I missed it BIG. 34 and still a virgin - I am waiting until I get married.

Think about this - is there a difference between having sex and making love?

i just turned 18 and I'm still a virgin just wait until that right girl comes along i had opportunities to have sex when i was 14 but it wasn't right and i wasn't comfortable and it should be shared with someone you love and feel a connection beyond sex just let it flow sex is not the most important thing in the world living is and just live

Um....There is no "magical" age for losing your virginity. It sounds cliched, but when the time is right, you'll know it. Don't rush these things. I know that at 17 it can seem like an eternity. But it's definitely BETTER if it's something you can share with someone you really care about.

Eventually it will happen.

When you're in a healthy, happy and commited relationship that is based on love, trust, honesty, respect, and full monogamy. And as the mother of two small sons I want to applaude you for you self-control and respectfull behaviour. Considering what goes on in today's world I am gald to see someone your age exhibiting moral behaviour. Don't change a thing! Your partner and You will be better off in the long run.

Um... there isn't really an age. When you get married thats when you want to do it. Don't you want to save your self for that special someone? Just imagine how much more exciting your honeymoon night will be!
