It's supposed to be for a 'haunted house' except it has to be medieval in theme. I'm really stuck on it. ^_^;;

it's basically something to put on the flyers,advertising our haunted house, the 'medieval dungeon'. we're looking for a alittle diddy to interest people. obviously, it must be a medeival-sounding/based poem. Help? ^_^;;

A Medieval 'theme' should include things that would be considered scary at that time:
witches, dragons, vampires, etc.

Maybe have the poem be something like a story where a brave knight enters the haunted castle looking for a damsel in distress only to find that he's not as brave as he thought.

Just some thoughts.

Come, fearless knight, and slay the beast
That breathes out flame and sits in slime!
And save fair maiden who'll be his feast
Unless you rescue her in time.

Vampires wander the hills at night
And choose their victims, one by one,
Forsooth! Brave knight, with blade of bright,
Use silver sword and he is done.

In yonder dungeon the lass is chained-
She hears the footsteps overhead
A shifting shape, her blood is drained-
She sprawls upon the stone floor-dead.

Ye friend or foe? Oh! ’Tis only you enter my house of haunted with belly full of meal
the venture that you unknow Believe I not thou you survive ordeal
Boiling water,rocks dropped entrance of arrows of steel tips,slashing swords
that we may take pity on thy soul and worthless flesh
How dare you challenge the sanctity of this ghostly castle
begone or beware the halberd axe, of light iron serrated sword that sever thou bowels
beheaded,and burned into ashes, best watch thy back, heathen you
scamper through the castle swiftly cowardly fool as passage into knighthood nears,
brother templars pray thy mercy avoiding ye less fears
or as Jester ending your life by ballista point or by catapulted man

Come ye fair maidens and brave Sir Knights
To a haven of horror that both thrills and delights.
Ghosts and Ghouls will maketh thou scream
Forever-more terror wilst invade you dreams.

Poems are made by ghouls, I fear.
But Prior Bob makes good dark beer.
