WOW! An excellent question, that I am finding surprisingly hard question to answer.

I am mostly like a bird, for the following reason:

I can adapt easily to change, but if not, I will find a more suitable environment.
I have my head in the clouds, quite often.
I love to people-watch; but doesn't everybody?
I am extremely independent.
I also love to fly; it's just unfortunate that it happens to be in a car, on the ground, instead of the sky.

Don't worry, I am getting better about surpressing that urge.

I think I'm most like a cat. Cat's do things on their terms. They play when they wanna play, eat when they want to eat, love when they want to love. In a way, they are pretty selfish, which is probably my worst fault. But, I make up for that by being a softy. Pettable.
